Positive pressure sintering and negative pressure sintering of cemented carbide

The definition of positive pressure sintering: During sintering, the pressure in the furnace is the same as the external pressure, and the molding inside the product is brought out through a ventilation agent (such as gas-type hydrogen, or inert gas, such as argon, nitrogen, etc.), this is called positive pressure sintering.
The definition of negative pressure sintering: a vacuum pump is used in the front to form a certain negative pressure in the furnace. That is to say, sintering performed under a condition below atmospheric pressure is called negative pressure sintering. Negative pressure sintering adds a part of inert gas, such as argon and nitrogen, and the tape is released through a trace amount of gas during the circulation process.
The choice of positive pressure sintering or negative pressure sintering depends on the product and the factory process. If the product is small and requires high performance, the advantage of negative pressure is that it can control the cobalt magnetism of the product better. If the product is small, the negative pressure will go faster. , the security is also better.
Positive pressure sintering is suitable for large-sized cemented carbide products, such as plates exceeding several kilograms. The molding agent brought out by positive pressure hydrogen makes the sintered product cleaner and better.
Therefore, the choice of positive pressure or negative pressure process needs to be chosen according to the needs of the manufacturer.
