Cemented carbide bars, also known as tungsten carbide strips, are mainly processed by metallurgical methods by mixing WC tungsten carbide and Co cobalt powder. The content of WC and Co in cemented carbide strips for different purposes is not the same, and the range of use is extremely wide.
Performance and application of tungsten steel bar:
YT5 has the best strength, impact resistance and vibration resistance among tungsten-cobalt-titanium alloys, but poor wear resistance. It is suitable for rough turning, rough planing and semi-finish planing during intermittent cutting of carbon steel and alloy steel (including forgings, stampings, and cast iron skins).
YT14 has high service strength, good impact resistance and shock resistance, which is nearly inferior to YT5 alloy, but its wear resistance is better than YT5. It is suitable for rough turning and rough milling during continuous cutting of carbon steel and alloy steel, and semi-finishing turning during intermittent cutting. And fine car.
YG3X has the best wear resistance among tungsten-cobalt-titanium alloys, but its impact toughness is poor. It is suitable for high-speed finishing of cast iron non-ferrous metals and their alloys, crushed fire steel, and alloy steel with small cut surfaces.
YG6 has higher wear resistance, but lower than YG3, and better impact and vibration resistance than YG3X. It is suitable for semi-finishing and finishing machining of cast iron, non-ferrous metals and alloys, and non-metallic materials at medium cutting speeds.
YG8 has high service strength, better impact resistance and vibration resistance than YG6, but its wear resistance and allowable cutting speed are lower. It is suitable for low-speed rough machining of cast iron, non-ferrous metals and alloys, and non-metallic materials.
YD201 is suitable for semi-finishing and rough machining of cast iron and light alloy, and can also be used for milling of cast iron and low alloy steel.
YW1 has good red hardness and can withstand a certain impact load. It is an alloy with good versatility. It is suitable for processing difficult-to-machine steels such as heat-resistant steel, high manganese steel, stainless steel, and ordinary steel and cast iron.
Advantages of tungsten carbide strips:
Tungsten carbide strip has the characteristics of high red hardness, good weldability, high hardness and high wear resistance. It is mainly used in the production and processing of solid wood, density board, gray cast iron, non-ferrous metal materials, chilled cast iron, hardened steel, PCB , Braking material. When using, the carbide strips of suitable materials should be selected according to the application.
