Cemented carbide has high hardness, strength, wear resistance and corrosion resistance, and is known as "industrial teeth". Regarding the magnetic saturation of cemented carbide, it is a physical characteristic of cemented carbide, which can comprehensively reflect the slight change of alloy structure, the change of carbon content, the size of tungsten carbide grain size and the distribution of grain size, and can expressed in exact quantitative relationships.
Cemented carbide products are used in the manufacture of cutting tools, knives, cobalt tools and wear-resistant parts for military industry, aerospace, machining, metallurgy, oil drilling, mining tools, electronic communications, construction and other fields. Different fields have different requirements for the relative magnetic saturation value of cemented carbide.
The factors that affect the relative magnetic saturation value of cemented carbide alloy mainly include the following six factors:
1. The total carbon of WC in cemented carbide exceeds the standard.
2. The oxygen content of the mixture (including briquetting) exceeds the standard.
3. Changes in the amount of carbon in hydrogen dewaxing and pre-burning.
4. Changes in the amount of carbon in vacuum dewaxing and pre-burning.
5. Changes in the amount of carbon in the hydrogen sintering process.
6. Changes in the amount of carbon in the cemented carbide vacuum sintering process.
The magnetic saturation of cemented carbide can be detected with a cobalt magnetic measuring instrument. The detection principle is: after the sample to be tested is fully magnetized to saturation in a uniform magnetic field composed of a strong permanent magnetic material, the sample is quickly detected from the magnetic induction signal to the magnetic field of the coil. It is pulled out from the magnetic gap, and the magnitude of the magnetic induction signal at this time and the quality of the sample to be tested are input into the microcomputer for data processing, and the required magnetic parameter values are displayed.
